What is David’s Tent?

David’s Tent is a worship movement, open to all from across the Body of Christ. Our desire is to give up an entire weekend to come away and worship our Father. Intimacy with God is the essence and heart of David’s Tent. It is, a moment in time to be inspired, encouraged, and commissioned to partner with the Father to see the earth look just like heaven.

We believe that the restoration of the tabernacle of David spoken of in the Bible is a mandate for our generation and is a fulfillment of prophecy in Amos 9:11 and Acts 15:16. David’s Tent is a small part of that much greater picture.

Our hope is that people come, get refreshed and return to their churches and communities with the fresh fire of revival, with each of us becoming ‘David’s Tent’ as a lifestyle. On that day I will raise up the tabernacle of David, which has fallen down, and repair its damages; I will raise up its ruins, and rebuild it as in the days of old; That they may possess the remnant of Edom and all the Gentiles who are called by My name,” says the Lord who does this thing.” Amos 9:11-12′

Our Beliefs

We believe that God’s presence is enough; that in His presence we have access to everything we need and everything He wants to give us.

We believe in God the Father, in Jesus Christ our Saviour and in Holy Spirit. We believe in this Trinity we find our King, Creator, and Redeemer; that they are just, merciful, faithful, loving, true, good and holy.

We believe people are created in the image of God with an ability and a destiny to know and enjoy relationship with Him. That even though we have rejected this and chosen a lifestyle that excludes Him, He still wants to know us.  We can all be restored into relationship with Him.

We believe that in His relentless mercy God the Father sent Jesus, His Son, to earth. He was crucified for our sins, died and was buried, but on the third day was raised back to life. Through this He gave us access to a life fully connected to Him, then He ascended into heaven and now sits at the right hand of the Father making intercession for us.

We believe that after Jesus ascended God sent Holy Spirit to lead, empower, convict, inspire and encourage us. With Holy Spirit living in and working through us we will see the world changed, one relationship at a time.

We believe the Bible is the truth, God-breathed and a vital part of our relationship with Him.

We believe in the Church, a beautiful multi-faceted family made up of individuals of every age, race, colour, and language joined through love for and faith in Jesus Christ.

We believe that the church in all its forms, filled with the love and power of God is the hope for the world.

We believe Jesus loves His church so much that He’s returning for her.

We believe we are a chosen generation, a Jacob generation that seeks God’s face.

We believe that God is rebuilding David’s fallen tent, the ruins are being re-built so that “the rest of mankind may seek the Lord” Acts 15:17

We are a gathering of worshippers who come together as one body, with one voice and one purpose; to draw closer to the Father.

There is power in the corporate gathering and we have the privilege of being part of something bigger than ourselves where we usher in the Kingdom of God here on Earth as it is in Heaven.

We come away to deepen our intimacy with God and draw strength for our day to day journey. We want to know God and love each other as
he loves us.

We believe in his presence all things are made new.

Our values set the standard for all we do in David’s Tent, of how we treat each other, how we make decisions and how we go about our work.

We value the day to day intimacy and journey with God. We believe that the overflow of our relationship with God spills out as love to a lost and dying world.

We are a diverse body with individual gifts. The body provides a community in which we can each operate to our strengths and are held up in our weakness.

We recognise that all we have flows from God and so in response, we give our best to him and to each other in all we do.

We value that God moves when we give him space and we each experience that differently. What we do is important, it is an honour to give our best to allow others the opportunity to experience relationship with the Father.
