UK TEAM <strong>BUILDERS</strong>


David’s Tent exists because of the 400+ Team Builders who serve diligently on various teams across the site and help steward people into the presence of God. As a member of our team, we invite you to help us host an environment that is excellent, full of fun, changes the lives of everyone that comes and leaves a smile on Jesus’ face. Shifts are typically 4-6 hours on event days. Team Builder benefits include:

As a Team Builder you will play a unique part in our incredible family of volunteers, helping to build the culture of David's Tent and create a space where Jesus is glorified and delegates can worship Him unhindered.

The Team Builder family is incredibly diverse - people from all over the world, representing many different denominations and church streams, come together to serve at David's Tent. Our minimum age is 16 and we have no upper limit!

Team Builders are assigned to a Team in one of seven different areas. On the application form, you can to tell us about your skills and experience and give us your top three choices.

Every day of the event begins with a short morning Team Meeting at 8:15am. You will be asked to do one shift each day, typically between 4 and 6 hours long. We try to spread your shifts over different times each day, so no one is serving every evening, for example.

Teams at David's Tent are grouped according to different skills required. WHEN YOU APPLY YOU CAN CHOOSE THREE OPTIONS. (Please note that your choice is for a group of teams, and not a specific team within that group). We can't guarantee your choice - the earlier you apply the better chance you have of getting on your team of choice! WE PRAY OVER EVERY APPLICATION TO DISCERN WHAT TEAM WOULD BE THE BEST FOR YOU TO SERVE ON

  • Admin Support

    If you love attention to detail, and would enjoy a role in a small team looking after logistics, then admin support could be for you. Relevant experience is needed for the Finance Team. Teams include:

    • Control Centre
    • Finance
    • Stocks & Supplies

    We love seeing God move amongst our younger attendees! If you would like to join one of these teams, please note that a current DBS or overseas equivalent is required. Teams include:

    • Toddlers (0-4yrs)
    • Children (5-11yrs)
    • Youth (12-17yrs)

    All these teams have a practical focus and need people who love interacting with others. A friendly smile is the best possible welcome and can open the way for God to do miracles in people's lives! Teams include:

    • Café
    • Registration
    • Campsite Hosts
    • Car Park
    • Glamping Hosts
  • Practical Support

    These small teams all involve a mix of practical tasks and looking after people in different ways. If you are flexible, approachable and adaptable this could suit you well.
    Teams Include:

    • Resource Tent
    • Retail
    • Event Drivers
    • Team Build Hosts

    This team arrives early (by 11:00 on Wednesday) and leaves late (17:00 on Monday). You'll be working on various practical tasks to help set up the site and clear away once the event finishes, so a certain level of fitness is required. You'll be free to enjoy the event for most of Friday and all of Saturday and Sunday.


    Site stewards play an important role in welcoming people into the various tents and venues, and keeping the whole site safe. Stewards, Prayer Tent Stewards and Security will be consolidated in into one team called Site Stewards. Over the weekend you will be rotated through different areas on site as needed, including:

    • Big Top
    • Breakout Tent
    • Prayer Tent
    • Site Access Points

    These teams all help keep the event running smoothly and require previous relevant experience. Teams include:

    • Song Projection
    • Sound Techs
    • Stage Crew


Being a Team Builder is great fun!! It's an amazing way to make new friends, be part of the DT family and get involved behind the scenes in hosting the event. Plus you get a discounted ticket, free team t-shirt, a free meal each day, and free tea and coffee throughout the event. Because the worship is 24/7 you still have loads of time to worship in the Big Top and hang out with your friends, alongside serving on team.

    A typical shift is 4-6 hours so there is plenty of time to worship as well alongside serving on team. We try to make sure we spread your shifts over different times each day during the event, between about 7am and 11pm, depending on your team. We will only put you on an overnight shift if you indicate you are happy for this.
    If you are coming with children or dependents you can let us know about this on your application and we will take this into account when arranging your shift times.
    If you are serving at DT with your spouse or a friend, you can let us know about this and we will do our best to match up your shift times, although we can't promise! (We also can't arrange your shifts around your favourite worship leader's sets!)

    Yes - all Team Builders need to arrive on site on Thursday 27th August between 11:00 - 13:00 and leave site no earlier than 15:00 on Monday 31st August. We expect TBs to attend all their shifts on time and attend the  daily meeting for all Team Builders (08:15).

    If you can't arrive by Thursday lunch time and stay until 3pm on Monday, then we are sorry but we won't be able to accept your application to be a Team Builder. Please consider coming as a delegate instead.

    If you want to apply for the Set Up and Tear Down team, we will need you to arrive by 11am on Wednesday 26th August and stay until 5pm on Monday 31st.


    David's Tent does not provide accommodation for Team Builders. It is every Team Builder's responsibility to bring their own tent (or arrange to share with friends), book off-site accommodation, or book a glamping tent (insert link).   • What's the address?

    Follow the road signs to the event entrance via A283 (Washington Road) - please note - there is no access to site via Mouse Lane. Free parking on site for all guests.

    (The nearest airport is London Gatwick).

  • I don't have a car - how do I get to site?


    The closest train station is Shoreham-by-Sea. For travel information please visit National Rail Website.

    Do not attempt to walk from the station as the roads are too dangerous. Either take a taxi, or book a shuttle bus ticket:

    Shuttle Bus: On Thursday morning and Monday afternoon, there is a Shuttle Bus service running between the station and the site. You need to book a ticket in advance for this. (Shuttle Bus tickets will go on sale soon).

    Otherwise, try to arrange a lift with someone else. The Team Builder Facebook group is a good place to ask about this: Please note that we are unable to arrange lift shares for you.
  • How do I buy my discounted ticket? What is the deadline?
    When we accept your application, we will send you an email with your unique Registration ID and details about how to buy your discounted Team Builder ticket. (The remaining cost is £65 after your £10 deposit).The deadline for buying your ticket is Saturday 1st August.
    If you are coming with children or other family members who are not Team Builders, they will need to buy their tickets on the main website.
  • Accessibility

    David's Tent is hosted in a field on a country estate - we understand this creates challenges but we do everything we can to make the event accessible to those with restricted mobility.
